Shower controls are available in a multitude of fittings. Thermostatic showers, Electric Showers, Power Showers, Shower Towers, and Digital showers, all meet different requirements. Electric Showers

An electric shower connects to a cold water supply only and provide an instant source of hot water. Models from NewTeam are available. Elements in the shower (similar to those in a kettle) heat the water as it is used. There is no waste from storing a large volume of hot water in a cylinder.

Thermostatic

A Thermostatic valve shower connects to the hot and cold water system. As the name implies it uses a Thermostatic valve to mix the hot and cold supplies to achieve a preferred showering temperature. The flow rate from a mixer shower is dependent on the type of hot water system in the property and the available supply pressures. Dependent on hot water supply mixer showers c provide higher flows than electric showers. Power Showers

A shower consisting of a Thermostatic valve and pump is generally referred to as a power shower. It gives an additional boost to your shower and is especially useful it a powerful head of water is required or if water pressure is low. NewTeam supply a number of power showers.

Shower Pumps

To improve shower performance of a Thermostatic Shower a pump can be fitted either to boost pressure and flow to the mixer (twin impeller pump) or to boost pressure and flow after the water has been mixed (single impeller pump). These are available through bathrooms in one from Stuart Turner

Digital Showers

New Technololgy has heralded the arriveal of a new generation of Digital Showers. At the forefront of this technology are the Axis and Quartz Digital showers from Aqualisa. Digital Showers feature a one touch control with flashing lights that hold seatdy when the perfect temperature is reached. At the heart of the system is a digital processor which provides a rapid perfect blended delivery of water.
